What we are exploring

Classic game mechanics still spark curiosity: ragdolls, falling sand, soft bodies, destructible worlds, and other playful experiments. This cohort invites builders to revisit one of those ideas, combine it with modern AI-assisted development, and create a surprising new playable experience. The finished demos and build notes will help RaidGuild learn in public and show what small teams can make.

Starter topics

Ragdoll and motion

Revisit floppy characters, momentum, collisions, or surprising physical reactions. Make the movement fun to watch and play.

Falling sand and particle worlds

Remix powder-game systems: materials that fall, flow, burn, grow, or react in unexpected ways.

Soft bodies and jelly physics

Build squishy creatures, elastic obstacles, or tactile worlds with a new visual or gameplay twist.

Your forgotten favorite

Choose another memorable mechanic, from destructible terrain to physics toys, and explain the fresh idea you will add.

Program details

The opening: October 5–6

Meet the group, learn how RaidGuild works, explore the theme, and choose a mechanic with one clear twist. The first two days provide the live orientation; participants can catch up from the written brief.

Build mostly async: October 7–30

Make a small playable prototype, share a progress clip or post, and trade feedback. A member knowledge-sharing session may be offered during the build; progress does not depend on attending it.

What to submit

By October 30, share a playable link, a 60–90 second gameplay video, and a short build note covering your inspiration, tools, challenges, and what you changed. Teams are welcome; one project counts as one demo.

Demo Day: November 4

Show the game, explain the twist, and talk about what you learned. We are aiming for five or six active builders and a compact showcase. Two small demo awards are being considered; amounts and judging details will be confirmed before submissions close.
